Let’s Make This About You!
NPB wants to hear more about you, your goals, and your nutrition questions!
Sorry for the break, NPB Athletes! I spent last week in Morocco, eating remarkably well. If you have the chance, please go. It’s easy to find. Get to Spain and head due south. You can’t miss it. Lots of date palm trees and goats.
It’s an amazing country, filling with wonderful sights, sounds, tastes, and smells. From the spice vendors to the street food stalls, Marrakech is probably the most aromatically excellent city on earth. (The camels in the Agafey Desert, not so much.)
When you go, make sure to buy a Dwarf Cavendish banana (or five). They’re sweeter than the standard Cavendish bananas we get in the U.S. and, because they’re grown there and harvested much riper, the flavor is super intense, like little custard thumbs.
But enough about me. Let’s talk about you!
Believe it or believe it, we’ve been newslettering together for eight months now.
From the start, the goal of NPB has been to educate, advise, and entertain all takers regarding the intersection of fitness and nutrition. We’ve built up a reasonably solid catalogue of “Base Knowledge,” but I’d like to shift the conversation. It’s time to focus more on what you want to know.

I’m super grateful for all your comments, questions, and feedback so far (except the greasy stuff). Thank you for helping me help you achieve your new personal best!
Now, let’s talk!
This is a ridiculously broad question but since you asked. At what point/age does activity like running become more destructive than strengthening? I’m late 60s, a runner most of my life. I’ve not run as much recently. I’m lucky in that I’m healthy and physically sound. Will running mostly wear me out faster now? I’ve always enjoyed the soreness that follows some exercise and figured it means I’m getting stronger. Does it mean that anymore or am I just wearing things out? TIA.
I have no topic suggestions or questions but just wanted to say that I agree, Morocco is unreal and I really hope you brought a bike with you! Riding in the Atlas Mountains is 🤯. I was there in Oct and about to hit ‘publish’ on another post about my experience there... 🤗
