So much good stuff to digest here. Personally, I'm doing it all for the space blanket. What are the recommendations for people playing sports in the summer heat? Two hours of tennis or volleyball in sun leave me woozy no matter how much water I drink.
Jill - Two hours! Nice! I believe you can still get heat exhaustion even if you're hydrated, but drinking plenty should help. Most of the time, water is fine, but given the amount of sweat caused by the heat and the effort, you might want to consider a sports drink. Not only will you replenish electrolytes, but the solution will actually cause you to absorb more of the fluid. With straight water, you tend to pee more out.
By the way, both BBP Hydrate and Ladder Hydration--which I believe you are familiar with--will work quite well!
Solid. People who compete need to know this.
From you, that makes a lot. Thank you!
I love this. Complicated physiology that you made fun and easy to digest… like the carbs in my stomach pre-exercise. Keep up the great work
